Dr. Elliot Mayhew received an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology from Western University in London, Ontario, before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic at Northeast College of Health Sciences. Dr. Mayhew has a special interest in sports medicine and is a resident of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences residency program.
Outside of clinic, Dr. Mayhew acts as the Team Chiropractor for the BCHL’s Coquitlam Express and is the Co-Founder and Chair of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association’s New Graduate Working Group, which helps address the needs of chiropractors in their first 5 years of practice.
Dedicated to a practice of reducing pain and enhancing performance, Dr. Mayhew takes a functional, movement-based approach to assessing and treating patients. He has advanced training in FMS (Functional Movement Systems), FDM (Fascial Distortion Model), Whole Food Nutrition and Custom Orthotics.
In his spare time, Dr. Mayhew loves to explore and get outdoors with his family. From adventuring on day hikes throughout the British Columbia backcountry to training for Triathlons with the Abbotsford Triathlon Club, he embraces the sports medicine philosophy of living an active lifestyle.
